Intention Setting Workshop & Party Notes, PART 1

Hello Big Dream Consulting Fam! On Saturday 1/9/2021 I hosted an intimate 2021 Intention Setting Workshop & Party for a group of 10 via ZOOM. The group consisted of one of my Life Coaching client's 4 close friends and 4 of my close friends. After reviewing the email I sensed this was highly valuable for us to have and review any time of the year! I'm planning on hosting more of these workshops where we actually get work done and build community so send me a message or leave a comment if you have a small group you'd like to set this up for.

What follows here is PART 1 the follow up email I provided to the group.

Thank you for SHOWING UP for yourself this Saturday morning to do some Personal Development work, way to get it in! The Universe will see your efforts and surely reward you with more ease in the process.

The theme for our first call was: One Day, One Lifetime

We started by reviewing our photos from 2020 and tapping into the feelings and emotions we felt during some of the best and worst times of the transformative year. Through that review we noticed that a great life is built day by day and a great day is built with intention and practice. We also noticed that what's most important is our relationship to ourselves and our relationships with others; your tribe either elevates your vibe or brings it down & we get to choose who we allow into our circle and share our energy with. While your vibe DOES attract your tribe, the inverse is also true, your tribe attracts your vibe so choose your crew wisely!

From there we discussed our goal of journaling everyday in order to learn from our emotional habits and extract the GOOD and the LESSONS from every single day. In light of research around the high correlation between geniuses and journaling habits, it's fair to ask: do geniuses journal or do journals create geniuses? Writing helps develop our brain and is more than a nostalgic pastime, "it's a highly productive activity that has historically yielded profound results for people who make the habit a part of their lifestyle."*

So, with that, I invite us all to hold each other accountable via text or IG DM's to see if we've journaled and encourage each other to do so.

Questions for Analysis 1. What does your ideal work day look like? Current vs. really ideal in the future 2. What does your ideal play day look like? Current vs. really ideal in the future 3. What does your ideal EVERYDAY include? Hints: journaling, hydrating, moving the body, good sleep. 4. What tools do you need to ensure you have an OPTIMAL DAY? ~ For this one, we did discuss that YOU ARE THE TOOL in exercising LOVING SELF-DISCIPLINE but there's also more to this if we REALLY go through an optimal day -- perhaps it's a nice workout SPACE, a nice canteen to remind you to hydrate, better bedsheets to get better sleep, sage to clear any bad vibes, tea/green juice at home, etc. Check on this stuff too and let us know what you discovered. Journaling Tips We Shared 1. Make journaling part of your nightly routine, just like brushing your teeth! Keep your journal on your bedside table. 2. Write down three wins from the day, big or small, jot it down! hint: pan dulce can be listed as a WIN 3. Doesn't have to make sense, doesn't have to have perfect grammar or a storyline. 4. Bullet points are just fine sometimes. 5. Journal in the morning and do a "brain dump" to just get everything off your mind and on a sheet of paper and that way you can start your day with a clean slate. 6. Use your work planner/calendar to jot down your WIN FOR TODAY everyday. * https://trappingideas.wordpress.com/2013/01/18/thomas-edisons-journal-habits/
